Welcome

This is the blog and public record of the Chicago Pizza Club. We eat a lot of pizza and share our thoughts on it as well as post any relevant pizza news we come across.

We invite you to post any comments on anywhere you have eaten under our review of that establishment. If you have any questions, please read the FAQs on the sidebar first to see if it has already been answered. Please note that we are at capacity and are not seeking new members. And finally, if you have a place you think we should try, have some other inquiry, or want to send us love/hatemail then please contact us at:

Ed & Joes
17332 Oak Park Ave
Tinley Park, IL 60477

Voted best pizza in Chicagoland Cityseach 2007 though there seems to be rumors of ballot stuffing and voter bribing. CPC needs to vet this pizzeria.

Home of The Giant. Chicago's largest delivered pizza. Specializing in thin crust but also offering a softer crust deep dish.

From Johnny Za in an old post:

Freddy's in Cicero is must-try. So are Falco's and Paisan's. In Berwyn, Benny's, but they don't have a dining room, just a 6 or 7 table area. They mostly do take-out/delivery.

I couldn't figure out how to pin the map, but what about John's Pizza (the famous Calumet City pizza)? They just closed their Cal City location, but word has it that the Whiting location is great.

Dino's
7004 W Higgins Ave
Chicago, IL
773-763-4077
(near Harlem stop on blue line or Harlem exit off of 90)

My favorites are the BLT pizza (by far my most favorite) and the BBQ Beef pizza. I also like the spinach and ricotta, extra thin crust with easy cheese. Or Italian Beef with jalapeno.

If you like sausage (which I don't care for) that's good too. But if you're a pepperoni person be warned that they put the pepperoni under the cheese unless you ask them to put it on top.

If you like stuffed pizza, they also make a good one. They call it "award winning", though I think the one and only time it won an award was over 10 years ago. I do recommend it though.

I've lived in this neighborhood for 20 years and we always go to Dino's.

It just opened a few days ago. It is a Brazilian Pizza joint. I've never heard of one of these before. I hear their charbroiled chicken is really good, and that they have 60 varieties of pizza which are cooked in their 650 degree oven!

DiPiero's Pizzeria
17 E Main St
Lake Zurich, IL 60047-2415

When I picture thin crust pizza, DiPieros comes straight to my mind. The DiPiero's Special is my family's thin crust pizza favorite. It simply cannot be beaten!

I had Berwyn pizza and it was so good, I need to find something like it.
