CPC invaded Burt's place 5/3/06

Our initial foray into Burt's Place was fraught with peril. Actually, it just went largely undocumented. Luckily, we ended up going again and this time - we have proof! Check it out here.

Holy crap... let me be the first to say that Burt's Place was amazing. I'm contemplating leaping out of my 7th floor office window, hopping into a cab and heading over there right now for some more pizza even as I type this. It was that good.

Put simply, Burt's has THE best pizza crust I've ever tasted in my life. It is made fresh by Burt himself three times a day and it certainly shows. His pan-style crust has an amazing, almost yeasty taste to it that I could probably just eat on its own. The sauce was great as well, very sweet without being overpowering (as it was at D'agostino's) and all of the meat and vegetables were fresh, and it showed.

I'm giving Burt's a score of 9.5, and I hope we go back soon.

Let me be the second to agree. Best pizza in the city. You dont hear about this place much, but Ive been there several times and I've met people who have been going there for years. I'm glad that its under the radar, because if it was advertised at all I would never get a seat on the weekend.
